1856 British UP Saddle: British Army Museum, London. This "wooden arch" saddle referred to by the Brits as an "MKII", is likely an officer's version. Very few of the wooden arch, 1856 UP saddles still exist. I am aware of about eight located on three different continents of the world (though there is probably more). For more information and photos of this and other pattern British saddles see the book "Confederate Saddles and Horse Equipment" By Ken R. Knopp (see home page).
