Un Identified on civilian clothes: Very interesting image of a likely early war trooper in kepi (with crossed cannons) and civilian clothes with an early percussion musket. I cannot see his saddle but it appears to be a Spanish or half-Spanish. His wood stirrups are military pattern and the blanket is wool (I believe) but his bridle and bit are in-distinguishable. Comments: This image always bothered me for severalreason. Isn't this trooper "geeky" looking! It is found published in "Still More Confederate Faces", (pg. 87) and is identified as a "rare ½ plate ambrotype".
